The first new casino built from the ground up since 1980 makes its debut in Downtown Las Vegas. The 1.25 million-square-foot Circa revealed the first five floors of the swanky resort at midnight. Circa is the first new property to open downtown since the Sundance in 1980, KXNT reports. That became Fitzgeralds, which Stevens and Circa co-owner, brother Greg Stevens, bought in 2011 and renamed D Las Vegas. The brothers also own the Golden Gate, which opened in 1906. Circa construction took 20 months.
Last week, Derek Stevens and Greg Stevens officially unveiled plans for Circa Resort & Casino. Sports bettors and nonplayers alike have plenty to get excited about, from the spa to the “largest sportsbook in the world.”
Most noteworthy, the new property will be the first ground-up resort development in downtown Las Vegas since 1980.
Construction on Circa Las Vegas is already underway, with a set December 2020 opening.
A downtown resort with amenities galore
All together, Circa will offer 1.25 million-square-feet of amenities. The list of features beyond the hotel tower is impressive:
- 1,200 car garage
- Largest outdoor bar on Fremont Street
- Multiple broadcast studios
- Multiple dining options
- Multilevel rooftop pool deck with six pools and an entertainment area
- Rejuvenating spa
- Two-level casino
- World’s largest sportsbook
- Vegas Vickie
The Circa Las Vegas sportsbook will be huge, as Derek Stevens (also famed for his love of sports betting) has previously told us. There will be two stories of stadium seating. The third floor of the sportsbook will have five broadcast studios. Vegas Stats and Information Network (VSiN) will occupy one booth while the others will be used for remotes.
The Circa Las Vegas casino will occupy two floors as well. There will be a variety of state-of-the-art slot and table gaming options, and there are rumors of virtual reality gaming.
Circa Las Vegas will have a variety of dining options including a coffee shop. $5 deposit casino nz 2020. More dining concepts will be announced as the December 2020 opening approaches.
The rooftop pool deck will have six pools, a 125-foot video screen, cabanas and a capacity of 4,000 people. Expect there to be plenty of outdoor entertainment in this multilevel amphitheater.
The rejuvenating spa will offer an amenity not found in most downtown Las Vegas casino-hotels.
Welcome, the Garage Mahal
Boasting a cheeky name, the parking garage at Circa Las Vegas will also be an amenity. In addition to 1,2000 parking spaces, the Garage Mahal is designed with ride-sharing in mind, easy to locate a car from Uber or Lyft.
Circa’s interior will welcome the return of Las Vegas icon Vegas Vickie. Longtime Las Vegas visitors may know her as the kicking cowgirl who was once perched high above the Fremont Street Experience. The neon sign will become a key design feature and must-see photo opportunity within the hotel’s lobby.
Circa Las Vegas will be huge in size — and vision
Circa Las Vegas will occupy an entire city block across the street from another property owned by the Stevens brothers. The new integrated casino will be built across the street from the Golden Gate Casino on the land once occupied by the Las Vegas Club, Mermaids Casino and Glitter Gulch. The Stevens brothers also own The D Las Vegas and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.
Above all, Circa Las Vegas will deliver a new casino experience but will be built on the original principles of old-school Vegas hospitality that Derek Stevens is famous for.
